Jonathan has practised for 36 years, specialising in many areas of Podiatric Medicine, including lower limb injuries, sports medicine, paediatric and adult biomechanics, neurology, gait analysis and orthotics.
Applying his skills with an innate passion for his profession, he has built up an extensive reputation in the treatment and management of foot and lower limb conditions, working alongside many of his Physiotherapy, Chiropractic and surgical colleagues.
Jonathan’s specialist approach has been so well-received over the years that patients regularly travel from all over the UK, and even abroad, to see him.
He has worked with the England Cricket Team and Bradford Bulls Rugby League Football Club, as well as many sportsmen and women from all over the Yorkshire area and those who have reached both national and international levels.
Jonathan believes in treating the body by identifying the underlying structural root causation of patients’ symptoms, with a holistic ethic and multi- and interdisciplinary approach to his treatment and care, resulting in more positive outcomes for his patients.

Conor Malee

Musculoskeletal Podiatrist

Conor Malee is an experienced Musculoskeletal Podiatrist here at Foot Pain Centres of Leeds. He specialises in lower limb injuries, Paediatric and adult Biomechanics, Gait analysis, Orthotics and nail surgery.
Conor brings both passion and knowledge to his work, always aiming to improve his patients’ health and well-being.
Conor believes in treating the body as a whole. He works as part of a multidisciplinary team including Podiatric Surgeons, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Sports doctors and Radiologists.
His holistic approach is very much welcomed by his patients, focusing on identifying and treating symptoms that form the root cause of pain.

Mr Scott Hendrick

Specialist Registrar in Podiatric Surgery

Scott qualified with distinction as a Podiatrist in 2012 from the University of Huddersfield. He then went on to obtain a double master’s degree and embarked on his specialist training in Podiatric surgery, taking on substantial posts in both Essex and Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching hospitals, where he currently works as a specialist registrar.
In 2024, he completed his formal surgical training and was awarded Fellowship to the Royal College of Podiatry.
He lectures widely to both undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout the UK on topics including surgical anatomy and dissection, musculoskeletal podiatry, injection therapy, ultrasound, X-ray interpretation, surgical assessment and diagnosis, and hosts basic surgical skills and suturing masterclass sessions.
He has specialist interests in skin and incisional nail surgery, injection therapy, toe deformities, neuromas, bunions and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle.
Scott is a key member of the Podiatric Surgical Team at the Yorkshire Foot Hospital, based at The Lawrence Clinic, Pudsey in Leeds.

We made an appointment with Conor after NHS x rays deemed no further action was needed, even though inflammation on the heel plate was evident. Conor was amazing from the minute he met my son, he was attentive and communicated effectively with my son and I. Through his knowledge and expertise Conor was able to reassure us that this was a biomechanics issue that could get resolved. Within two weeks of wearing the bespoke orthotic insoles my son noticed his pain had decreased. Within 3 months of wearing the insoles, my son is pain free and he is back to being able to run around and play his football freely. I have the upmost confidence in Conor, a true professional. I would recommend coming to see Conor if you or your child has heel/foot pain that is being dismissed elsewhere.

So grateful to Jonathan and team who we found after months of GP's, X-rays, Physio and getting nowhere to treat my sons severe knee pain. 6 weeks after our first visit to the Foot Pain Centre and custom orthotics and my son was walking with no pain and playing sport and skiing again. So glad my second son didn't have to go through all the pain and worry again as we were straight to the Foot Pain Centre who saved the day again. Having resolved a previous problem a few years ago, I returned to see him with acute pain in my foot and an inability to put any pressure on it and walk. For a passionate walker like myself, this was extremely worrying. He immediately diagnosed and rectified the problem as well as explaining the issue and providing advice. We tried the nhs and a local treatment centre but nothing worked.  Then we noticed that our daughter was walking with her feet treading inwards and she was beginning to develop back pain.  Again we tried the nhs and local services and again, nothing worked.  My husband thought he'd look further afield and came across all the positive reviews of Jonathan and the foot pain centre.  A certain amount of desperation had entered by now so we gave it a go. Well thank God we did!  Both daughter and husband are now pain free and walking correctly all down to Jonathan's excellent diagnosis and his fitting of bespoke orthotics for both parties.  Aftercare has been spot on and after a year we can confirm that all is well.  A delight to come across someone who really knows their field and worth every penny. I first came to the foot pain centre just over 3 years ago,  after experiencing ankle pain when I first took up running, I was examined by Jonathon and was instantly put at ease by his positive attitude, his knowledge and explanation of the issues causing my foot pain were excellent, he has helped me to resolve the issue even with me having a complex physiology in my lower leg, due to previously spending a long period in hospital. My posture is greatly improved and I am still running regularly to this date, and this is thanks to the help and advice given by Jonathon, on injury prevention, exercises along with individually moulded insoles which have enabled me to keep running and improving my posture. Further to this I visited Jonathon with a knee problem and he was able to rectify the issue immediately, while providing advice and exercises for preventing reoccurance, again showing a very positive attitude which was very motivating.

After a good amount of Physio sessions I felt my symptoms weren't improving. I decided to go to a podiatrist and came across Leeds Foot Pain Centre - it was the best decision I have ever made for myself! After meeting Jonathan, I discovered I had undiagnosed clubfoot on my left foot and my whole body was out of alignment. Jonathan was professional, asking for consent before examining me and allowing me to ask many questions about this new condition. I was given orthotics to wear and they have completely changed my life. I no longer worry about injuries when playing sport and I have peace of mind knowing my foot is in the correct position - this hopefully means I can continue to lead an active life style. I also now know to look out for my condition if I ever have children. It's been life changing. I would 100% recommend Leeds Foot Pain Centre for their insight and care.
